Message from Front Steps, managers of the Austin Resource Center for the Homeless
I know the hotter temps of the summer are still here, but it’s time to start thinking about the Cold Weather Shelter for this winter. I’d first like to say thank you to every church and volunteer who participated last year. Without each of our churches, volunteers, and all of our city agency collaborators, we would not have been able to provide the many beds at our off-site locations.
For this winter, we need to start gathering information for any locations that are interested in providing additional shelter spaces as needed November 2015-March 2016. Information packets are available and we’re available to answer any questions you may have. Even if you’re not sure if what you can provide may be needed, please contact me and I’m sure we can get you involved.
Our goal this year is to try and have at least 75 men’s beds and 25 women’s beds on-call and ready to serve on each night of the week. Please contact us and see how you can help us reach this goal!!!
